Reschedule / Cancellation Policy
If you give written notice to reschedule your expedition berth before 60 days of departure, you may reschedule your expedition dates, and the final balance will be due 60 days before the rescheduled departure date.
If you've paid the balance in full, and decide to cancel or reschedule the expedition within 60 days of departure, for whatever reason, and Modern Geographic Inc. is able to re-book the expedition berth for your scheduled dates, you may reschedule or receive a full refund for the money you've paid to-date.
You understand that within 60 days of departure, no refund can be made unless a new booking is made by another sailor for the dates of your cancelled expedition berth. You understand the importance of trip cancellation insurance, which is your responsibility to obtain (several options available for reasonable rates underwritten by insurance providers on-line).
Credit may be awarded to you for extenuating circumstances—used to defray the cost of a future booking. Credit is issued by the sole discretion of Paul Exner and is used by the credit-recipient to make a valid booking (accompanied by a 50% deposit of the new booking’s outstanding balance) within one year of the date the credit was issued; otherwise the credit becomes invalid.
